NATIONAL “TAKE A HIKE DAY”
National Take a Hike day has become an annual tradition and is celebrated on November 17th. With so many beautiful trails on our spectacular Sunshine Coast, there is no lack of opportunity to take a hike.
Hiking is something that really helps to rebuild our connection with nature, and helps to maintain healthy hearts and bodies as well. Hiking with your dog is always a fun thing to do anytime of the year.
It’s healthy and adds stimulation to your dog’s life as well as your own. It also helps you and your dog maintain a healthy weight and keeps muscles toned and strong.
RC Pets- Creating “Pet Gear” with safety, comfort and style in mind…
Hiking is only one of the many popular activities that pet owners enjoy with their four legged friends. Swimming in the ocean, trekking through snow, our animals don’t stop at anything when it comes to activity in the outdoors. Nobody knows this better than RC Pets, a Vancouver owned business that is passionate about designing the very best pet products for all walks of life.
RC Pets was founded by Rory Carr in 1988 and they have been designing the very best pet wear and products ever since. In fact, they invented the “ultimate cooling coat” for dogs that suffer from the heat, which won the 1994, 1st prize at the Western Canada Pet Expo. Prior to designing pet gear, they originally designed outdoor wear products for skiers and snowboarders who play in the mountains. Their love of animals and interest in providing the best protective wear for dogs and cats moved them in a new direction and they now are manufacturers of top gear that is rugged and responsive to all elements of nature.
RC Pets’ large arrangement of products include: Dog rain and winter coats, paw protection shoes, dog harnesses and pet travel products as well. They also carry a wide selection of kitty gear, which is very popular. Their kitty harness is a great solution for cat owners who like to walk their cat on a harness.
Each product is designed with comfort, safety and style in mind. These are only a small example of the line of products they design in-house at their Vancouver manufacturing plant, employing over 50 people locally.
You can find RC Pet products at All for Pets in Sechelt on Cowrie. Check RC Pets out on their website at www.rcpets.com to view their entire line of pet products. They are happy to answer any questions you may have and look for feedback from customers so they can continue to provide the very best product lines.
